the subject for this picture was not available to sit, or rather, to stand for it, so it was done by imagination. the scribbles in the background are the words of the sermon on the mount. not all of them, of course, but as many as happened to fit. it was begun and completed by the artist not-yet-known as hellhed in 1993.
